► Representation

Representation

Your Union exists primarily to represent YOU, the students. The only way to ensure the student experience at Glamorgan is the very best it can be, is with student feedback.

There are various levels in the student representation system, ranging from Course Reps, to the Students’ Union President who is a University Governor.

What are Course Reps?

Course Reps are students informally elected by their peers to represent their views on academic issues to the University. Course Reps find out what students on their course think, and then meet with University staff to tell them the students’ views. The University then acts on that feedback – ensuring Glamorgan is the best it can be. Your Scheme Leader will talk to you during the first few weeks of term about how to become a Course Rep, or, for more info take a look at the Course Rep website, email studglam@glam.ac.uk or join the ‘Glamorgan Course Reps’ group on Facebook.

Representation at Atrium

Course Reps at ATRiuM meet on a regular basis at the Student-Staff Liaison Group where Reps can raise issues with senior academic and admin staff. All sorts of issues get discussed at this group, and this is the key meeting where Reps can raise students’ concerns. For more information email studglam@glam.ac.uk
