► Union Meetings

Union Meetings

Most people think of The Union as a building which serves food and drink, when in reality the Union is you and your fellow students. To make the Union run successfully and give you what you want, it is important for you to get involved and have your say.

AGM (Annual General Meeting)

Your Annual General Meeting is held as it suggests once every year! This is an opportunity for any University of Glamorgan student, holding a valid Union card, to raise matters of business. Accounts are presented and a draft budget tabled for approval. It is also an opportunity to propose Honorary Life Membership for someone you think has really put a lot into their Union, whether it is within a society, a team or just someone who is always willing to help out!

Student Council

To ensure that the Trustee Committee are held accountable more than once a year, there is a body called Student Council. It is the responsibility of the council to question reports made by the Trustees, write motions to direct them with their work and deal with ongoing business throughout the year.

If YOU want to have YOUR say on any matter that YOU feel needs to be addressed by the Union-Union Council could be the answer!
