Getting the most out of Your Union
The Students’ Union plays an important role in the life of every student whether you are new or even in your final year of study.
The Students Union is where you can seek representation, meet new friends, play sport socialise during the day and night, gain employment, have your voice heard, to name but a few.
At the Students Union we encourage every student to participate in the Union whether it be as a member of Student council, a member of a sports team or society, or as a volunteer.
The Union is run by five executive officers who are elected to look after your welfare, the five Execs are:
The President who is in charge of the day to day running of the Students Union.
The Student Activities Officer who looks after sports teams and societies.
The Student Welfare Officer who looks after issues such as housing, jobs, personal issues...you!
The Communications Officer who looks after the improvement of cross campus communications.
The above Execs offer an open door policy and are there to represent you in any concerns you may have.
The Execs are in place to provide you with a safe and fun environment and to ensure that your University life is made as enjoyable as possible.
