The International Student Support Service (ISSS)

A very warm welcome from the International Student Support Service is extended to all international students who have recently arrived here at the University of Glamorgan.

The International Student Support Service is a centre within the International Office and is located in room number B68 which is in a separate building very near to the main Student Services reception (C Block).

We have an International Students’ Information Centre in B68, where you can pick up useful information leaflets about a whole range of international issues, browse through our tourist information, news and events on the notice-board or advertise your own and use our small bank of computers.

Please feel welcome to come and use this space between 9am – 4.30 pm Monday – Friday

Please note: One member of our team will be available in B68 for all your drop-in queries between 2-4pm Monday to Friday, so make sure you pop in between those hours if you would like some in-person advice.

We are able to offer information, advice and support to all international students on a wide range of issues, including:

• Orientation
• Immigration advice and assistance with visa extensions
• Employment regulations
• Daily life in the UK

The International Student Support Service also have comprehensive information about a whole range of issues that can be found on Glamlife and make sure you sign up to the International Channel on your Glamlife homepage to keep up to date with important news and events.

If you have any non-academic problems at any time during your studies, that cannot be answered via our 2-4pm drop-in session, then you can book an appointment to see an International Student Adviser at the Student Services reception in C Block or by phoning on 01443 482080.

Once again, welcome to Glamorgan and we hope that your time here will be happy and successful.
