About me:
Hi there guys, and welcome to my blog! I am your Welfare Officer for the Students Union, and in my job i deal with various issues, such as accommodation problems and financial difficulties to name a few. If you ever need advice, or just someone to talk to, do not hesitate to come and see me. I have many useful contacts and using their help or my own knowledge of the welfare area, hopefully we can solve the issue.
Background/why I went for elections:
While in the University of Glamorgan I studied a psychology, and gained many benefits from this subject which is useful in my role as Welfare Officer. Psychology is something that I was to pursue once finishing my sabbatical position, which is something that spurred me on to run for elections as I thought the experience would become useful. Whilst at University I was an active member of the Union, working behind the bar and captaining/managing the rugby seconds, Glamorgan gave me so much in my life that I wanted to give something back.
Hobbies:
I have many hobbies that are predominantly based around sporting activities. I love playing rugby (however im injured!!), squash and going to the gym. However, I also have another side of hobbies as I really enjoy music. I play piano to about a grade six standard, enjoy writing music and also singing. I also really enjoy cooking, which is something id love to go into when ive got enough money to invest into my own restaurant.
