International students

The University of Glamorgan has around 1500 International students on its books, each with their own cultural backgrounds to complement the diversity of students at Glamorgan.

As an international student you may encounter problems like language difficulties (including regional accents), managing a foreign currency, being unfamiliar with bus and train routes or numbers, to more subtle cultural variations, or unexpected prejudices or loss of freedoms.

Here at Glamorgan both the Union and University aim to make your time as trouble-free and enjoyable as possible.

Support

The University has an International Support Unit (B68) which will probably be your first point of contact whilst at Glamorgan, which help with all kinds of issues including finance, immigration, and academic.

The Union work closely with the ISU and offer their own support and services to International students.

You also have officers who are there to represent and support you
