Student Written Submission
The Students’ Union is pleased to have this opportunity to participate in the QAA review, and comment on the University’s academic quality and standards and the experience of students as learners. This SWS intends to be an analytical, critical, balanced and honest reflection of the student experience at Glamorgan.
Whilst in general terms Glamorgan’s student population is satisfied, inevitably there are areas for improvement. These are explored in the main body of this report, and include:
Assessment and Feedback - survey results indicating non-compliance with University policy for feedback timescales
Communications – poor communications from various faculties and departments have lead to students feeling ‘out of the loop’ and frustrated.
The University’s recent and rapid physical expansion as a cause for concern, and in particular how the institution has managed these changes, particularly:
The development of the new Cardiff campus – The ATRiuM
