Plane hoisted into position

After the delivery of the plane last night, which we found out was 24 hours early, it has now been moved into position just outside the new maintenance centre.

Plane Arrives on
Campus
Last night saw the Lear Jet, which is part of the new Air Maintenance Centre, arrive on Treforest campus.

With the maintenance hanger well underway it won't be long until students from all over the world will be tinkering with the plane... we've been trying to book a flight to Barbados but with no luck :)

For detailed information on the development, take a look at the University's Development website here:

26th  November '09

The Faculty of Advanced Technology at University of Glamorgan will have its very own commercial plane on campus within a dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Training Centre, providing a vital resource for our aerospace students. This time lapse video charts the progress of some significant stages of the hangar build. The Centre is due for completion Spring 2010.
